![]() ![]() ![]() Their 20 years in Nova Scotia were especially memorable, living in Halifax and cottaging at Porter’s Lake. They formed lifelong friendships everywhere they lived. Over the years, they made their home in many parts of Canada, including Montreal, Richmond Hill, Winnipeg, Toronto, Dyson Lake (ON), Halifax, Porter’s Lake (NS), Big Bald Lake (ON while wintering in Naples, Florida) and Markham. She moved to Winnipeg, where they married in 1955. Born in Brockville, ON, Bernice moved to Toronto in the mid 1950s, where she met her husband, Jack Edwards. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack, son, David (Nobles), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Pat, and her many siblings. Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Judi (John), daughter-in-law, Connie, grandchildren, Allison, Sean (Kristen) and Stephanie (Matt), step-grandson, Kevin (Alana), and great-grandchildren, Melanie, Kelsey, Caleb, Abigail, Jonah and Emerson. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joy Bible Camp in Bancroft, ON or the “Back the Build” fund of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (reconstruction of Picton Hospital) would be appreciated by Karen’s family. A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced. A Private Family Service will be held this week. Karen is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street West, Picton (61). Karen will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, generosity, her love of God and her inability to stand by if someone was in need. She used her organizational gifts on many committees and boards, including decades of service at Joy Bible Camp in Bancroft.
